NBA League Pass price tiers: $200, $120, $7

NBA League Pass will now offer the ability to purchase a single game.

How much will it cost?

The ability to buy a single game is a nice feature. Why not offer it?

But it’s hard to see much of a market.

Who’s interested enough in a single game to pay $7 for it it but not buy a full-season package, either a team or league-wide version?

Some regular-season games are definitely worth $7, but you don’t know which in advance. Plus, many of the best matchups on paper will be nationally televised.

Again, there’s no harm in offering a single-game price. The NBA is already putting all these games online, anyway. But that’s a decent price to pay for just one game. Really, all these offerings a pretty expensive.

If you’re that into the NBA, though, there’s little choice but to pay up.
