Joe Ingles was one of the oldest players on the historically young 2014-15 Jazz.
And he was an NBA rookie.
The 27-year-old Australian will be back in Utah for his second season.
Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports:
Ingles’ Non-Bird Rights (technically a form of Bird Rights) won’t allow him to make that much. So, the Jazz will have to use cap space – or, depending how they intend to use the rest of their room, the $2,814,000 room exception.
He’s a good distributor for a forward and a solid outside shooter, though his unwillingness to shoot is probably his most defining basketball trait.
Overall, he fit in well in Utah, a team that surged after the All-Star break. It’s unclear whether that was an aberration or a breakthrough, but betting on continuity was probably the right move for the Jazz. Retaining Ingles helps provide that.
