Dwyane Wade to join ABC broadcast as part of NBA Finals coverage

Dwyane Wade may or may not be back with the Miami Heat next season.

But one place we know he’ll be appearing for sure is in the broadcast booth as part of ABC’s coverage of the NBA Finals.

From the Associated Press:

The three-time NBA champion will join ESPN on ABC for pregame and halftime shows during Games 2 and 3 of the Cleveland-Golden State series. Wade also will have the same arrangement for Games 6 and 7 if those games are played.

There are very few current players as uniquely qualified as Wade is to provide analysis of the championship round.

Wade has appeared in the last four NBA Finals, and has played in five overall, winning championships in the 2006, 2012, and 2013 seasons.

And, of course, Wade had LeBron James as a teammate for the last four seasons, which should leave him well-equipped to drop plenty of tidbits of worthwhile knowledge.
