Stephen Curry bringing his daughter, Riley, to his postgame press conference after Game 1 drew a small amount of backlash from the media.
That, deservedly, drew much more backlash against the backlash.
Did Riley make it more difficult for Curry to answer questions of reporters on deadline? Probably, though only very slightly. Did her presence provide something far more interesting than Curry’s answers? Absolutely, and interest is good for sports journalists – even if a select few are too focused on “the sanctity of the postgame.”
So, Curry and Draymond Green had a little fun after Game 2.
Rosalyn Gold-Onwude of CSN Bay Area:
The media too often takes themselves too seriously. I hope they laughed with Green and Curry here.
