Both the Atlanta Hawks and Washington Wizards have three days off between games, but that is far better news for Washington.
The reason is John Wall’s wrist — he missed Game 2 with a sprained wrist, suffered in a fall in Game 1. A fall violent enough that Wall said he thought he broke his wrist at the time. If the series had gone every other day it is possible he would miss more time (and his status for Game 3 is not yet announced). Still, you have to think with three days of treatment and the Wizards going home with the chance to take the lead in — and if they win two command of — the series, he will go.
And the Wizards need him, to create looks for others and to defend on the perimeter. They are not winning another game in this series without him.
