Barack Obama would root for Chicago in Bulls-Wizards series

Barack Obama lives in Washington and plays pickup basketball with the Wizards.

But his heart is still with Chicago.

Gerald F. Seib of The Wall Street Journal:

if, down the road, the playoffs produce a Wizards-Bulls showdown, Mr. Obama, in an interview with the Journal, left no doubt where his loyalties lie.

“I think it’s fair to say any time the Bulls are playing I’m rooting for the Bulls,” he said. “Bulls all the way, that’s how we roll.”

Obviously, we’re a ways from a Bulls-Wizards conference finals – which would require Chicago beating the Bucks and Cavaliers and Washington beating the Hawks or Nets – but it’s certainly plausible. The Bulls still have the upper hand on Milwaukee, and if they advance, Cleveland is playing without Kevin Love. The Wizards are rolling, and Atlanta looks vulnerable.

The real question: Now that Obama has said this, if Chicago and Washington meet, how accommodating will the Wizards be with tickets for the president when the series goes to Washington?
