With his fourth of seven assists in the Cavaliers’ Game 1 win over the Celtics, LeBron James passed Michael Jordan for ninth-most assists playoff history.
LeBron, who found J.R. Smith with the Jordan-passing dish, now ranks ninth all-time in postseason assists:
LeBron will likely pass Kobe Bryant, Scottie Pippen, Seven Nash and Larry Bird this year. I’d bet on him also passing Tony Parker, who’s still playing.
In his 12th season, LeBron is starting to rack up assists records. His ability has been incredible since entering league, but now that he’s moving up the list of cumulative accomplishments, it’ll be harder to deny him his place among the NBA’s all-time greats.
