Toronto vs. Washington is not the sexiest of series, but it is one fairly evenly matched.
As I note to Jenna Corrado in this PBT Extra, it’s an interesting clash of styles. On one side is Toronto, which has a quality offense but a sieve of a defense. On the other side is Washington, which had a top five defense, but their offense was essentially the John Wall show with little creative flair in the sets.
This is also two teams in the same spot on the development curve — they are not loaded with young players, they have some veterans and both expected to have the kind of season that got them to the second round of the playoffs at least. One of them is about to be very disappointed (I think that will be Toronto).
