When the Warriors take on the Spurs Sunday night in a possible Western Conference Finals preview, they will be without Shaun Livingston, who was suspended one game for a low blow on Dirk Nowitzki from last night’s win over the Mavericks. From the NBA’s press release:
Golden State Warriors guard Shaun Livingston has been suspended one game without pay for hitting Dallas Mavericks forward Dirk Nowitzki in the groin, it was announced today by Rod Thorn, President, Basketball Operations.
The incident occurred with 1:28 remaining in the third quarter of the Warriors’ 123-110 victory over the Mavericks at American Airlines Center.
Livingston will serve his suspension tonight when the Warriors visit the San Antonio Spurs.
Here’s video of the incident:
It’s pretty clear-cut what that was. A one-game suspension is reasonable.
