Turns out, it’s roughly in line with the original.
Dwight Howard, who hasn’t played since Jan. 30 because of edema in his right knee, expects to be back in two weeks, he told ESPN’s Lisa Salters on Wednesday.
The 43-21 Rockets have held up fine without Howard, which is why James Harden is such a strong MVP candidate. But their ceiling is clearly highest with him.
And the stakes are high.
In a deep Western Conference, Houston is a viable contender. Howard could swing the difference between a championship or not.
If he returns in two weeks, that should at least give a little time to get acclimated before the playoffs.
