Forbes released its list of billionaires, and of course, several NBA owners were included:

Franchise Owner Net worth (billion)
Los Angeles Clippers Steve Ballmer 21.5
Portland Trail Blazers Paul Allen 17.5
Brooklyn Nets Mikhail Prokhorov 9.9
Miami Heat Micky Arison 7.1
Denver Nuggets Stan Kroenke 6.3
Orlando Magic Richard DeVos 5.7
Cleveland Cavaliers Dan Gilbert 4.7
Detroit Pistons Tom Gores 3.2
Dallas Mavericks Mark Cuban 3
Indiana Pacers Herbert Simon 2.9
Philadelphia 76ers Joshua Harris 2.7
Minnesota Timberwolves Glen Taylor 2.4
New Orleans Pelicans Tom Benson 1.9
Milwaukee Bucks Marc Lasry* 1.9
Memphis Grizzlies Robert J. Pera 1.8
Houston Rockets Leslie Alexander 1.6
Chicago Bulls Jerry Reinsdorf 1.3
Charlotte Hornets Michael Jordan 1

*Update: For the most part, I counted only a team’s primary owner (Governor). For the Bucks, that’s actually Wes Edens, who didn’t make the Forbes list. His co-owner, Lasry, did, though.

Knicks owner James Dolan didn’t make the cut, but his father, Charles Dolan, is worth $4.3 billion.

The other primary owners who didn’t crack the list:

  • Bruce Levenson (Atlanta Hawks)
  • Wyc Grousbeck (Boston Celtics)
  • Joe Lacob (Golden State Warriors),Jeanie Buss (Los Angeles Lakers)
  • Clayton Bennett (Oklahoma City Thunder)
  • Robert Sarver (Phoenix Suns)
  • Vivek Ranadiv√© (Sacramento Kings)
  • Peter Holt (San Antonio Spurs)
  • Larry Tanenbaum (Toronto Raptors)Greg Miller (Utah Jazz)
  • Ted Leonsis (Washington Wizards)
