When Darren Collison has been on the court for the Kings this season their offense has improved almost 10 points per 100 possessions. He’s averaged 16.1 points and 5.4 assists a game, and he’s played the best basketball of his career.
And now playing in George Karl’s more up-tempo system, he could flourish.
Which is why this is such a bad rumor, via Marc Spears of Yahoo Sports.
Officially coach Karl said he hopes to get an update on Collison in the next couple days.
Without Collison, it will mean more Ray McCallum and Andre Miller.
The Kings have won two of three since Karl took over as coach, and that includes a big win over Memphis Thursday.
