CHICAGO—When the Cleveland Cavaliers face the Chicago Bulls on Thursday evening at the United Center, they will be without one of their big three. Kevin Love has been ruled out with an injury to his right eye, according to Cavs PR.
Love suffered a corneal abrasion in his eye on Wednesday during the Cavs’ home win over the Miami Heat and was previously listed as questionable. An ESPN.com report on Thursday indicated that Love planned to play, but the team has ruled him out. Tristan Thompson will start in his place.
Love won’t be the only big-name player missing from the game. The Bulls will be without Jimmy Butler, who suffered a right shoulder strain during Tuesday’s win over the Sacramento Kings. Butler is also questionable for the All-Star Game this weekend.
