Kevin Durant dropped 40 on the Nuggets on 19 shots. But he was also hot after committing this flagrant foul, drawn by Kenneth Faried.
Faried might have flopped, but throwing the ball at a player on the floor is fairly cheap. The NBA used to fine a player for throwing the ball at another, but it seems the league has stopped issuing that penalty (unless nobody has violated the rule in years).
I don’t think Durant would have gotten fined either way, but it would have been much more likely if Faried didn’t catch the ball. This doesn’t look quite as bad because he did.
