The Houston Rockets and Washington Wizards experienced a bizarre delay on Monday night when the rim on the basket at the Rockets’ end got bent out of shape. The grounds crew at the Honda Center had to install an entirely new basket.
Apparently, this isn’t the first time this has happened in a game the Wizards have played in, according to Grantland’s Zach Lowe:
In DAL@WAS earlier this year, Dirk alerted Wiz 1 rim might be a tad off. Why? He was missing too many warmup Js. They checked, he was right

They had a guy bring out a ladder and a tape measure and everything. And of course Dirk was correct about the rim being off. So funny.

This is what happens when an unsuspecting rim is subjected to too many bad Josh Smith jump shots.
