It’s become a holiday tradition for the sneaker companies to release special edition colorways of their signature athlete’s shoes, and often times each one takes individual inspiration in terms of its patterns and designs.
But Jordan Brand went with a more unifying concept this year, with three of its performance models all taking their color choices from one single source.
When Michael Jordan had the best Christmas Day performance of his illustrious career, he scored 42 points in a 1992 win over the New York Knicks. He was wearing the Cardinal Air Jordan VII at the time, and as a tribute, all of this year’s holiday editions have been washed in those colors.
