The Thunder are 1-2 since Kevin Durant’s ankle injury.
Now, they’ll again have to compete without him.
Darnell Mayberry of The Oklahoman:
The 13-15 Thunder are 10th in the Western Conference, as close to 12th-place Denver as they are to eighth-place New Orleans. Obviously, Oklahoma City is a much different team with Durant, but its margin for error is only decreasing while he sits.
After the Trail Blazers, who are a relatively quiet 22-7, the Thunder visit the defending-champion Spurs on Christmas. The West is a gauntlet, and Oklahoma City needs Durant back sooner than later to stay comfortably afloat in the playoff race.
