Here’s the dunk of destruction that the Raptors’ James Johnson threw down over the Pistons’ Andre Drummond on Friday, an absolutely vicious slam that may be the dunk of the year thus far.
And here’s how Drummond handled it on Toronto’s next offensive possession.
The frustration is understandable: Detroit is suffering through a dismal 5-22 campaign, the dunk came with the Raptors up by 20, and Toronto’s players were celebrating almost excessively as the rout was happening on the Pistons’ home floor.
Johnson got the final word on the play afterward, via Doug Smith of the Toronto Star:
“That was nasty, right? I cocked that joint back and banged on him,” Johnson said.
