We don’t often hear about a rain delay in professional basketball, but thanks to some precipitation in Brooklyn leading to a leaky roof at Barclays Center, that’s essentially what we got on Tuesday.
The contest between the Nets and the Heat was stopped with 1:47 remaining in the first quarter, and oddly delayed 31 minutes before the leak could be contained.
The arena’s Twitter account seems to believe that this will be a one-time issue.
Tonight’s delay was caused by a water leak due to the installation of our new green roof. We’ve taken all necessary steps to rectify.
