Paul Pierce is in his first season with the Wizards, after playing for the Nets last year.
But he’ll always be a Boston Celtic.
That’s where Pierce built his Hall of Fame resume over 15 stellar seasons, and he still has a soft spot for fans of his from back in the day — so much so that he was willing to sign an autograph for one of them while a game was still in progress.
This is highly unorthodox, to say the least.
In most arenas, fans can’t get near the benches while a game is going on without a courtside ticket that costs in the thousands of dollars, and even then, security is normally tight enough to where something like this is prevented from taking place.

Credit Pierce for being kind enough to sign for one of his fans in this situation, but let’s hope it doesn’t encourage others to try a similar stunt.
