Report: Bradley Beal to make season debut Wednesday for Wizards

UPDATE 12:12 p.m. ET: Wizards say Beal is a gametime decision. Beal spoke with reporters at shootaround and said nothing has been decided.

The Wizards were forecasted by many to make a jump into the upper tier of the Eastern Conference this season, and they’ve lived up to those lofty expectations thus far by getting off to a 7-2 start.

Perhaps most impressive is that it’s taken place with one of Washington’s best players sidelined due to injury.

Bradley Beal suffered a wrist fracture during the preseason that required surgery and has kept him out of the Wizards lineup to this point in the season. But he’s slated to make his return Wednesday night at home when Washington hosts Dallas.

From Jorge Castillo of The Washington Post:

Bradley Beal is going to make his season debut tonight, source says. He’s going to come off the bench and be on a minutes limit.

The Mavericks are playing at an extremely high level right now, so the Wizards will take all the help they can get.
