I was a little surprised – though not totally shocked – Raptors fans cheered Vince Carter tonight.
But, in the other game featuring a franchise great-turned-villain making his homecoming, these boos for Jason Kidd were totally expected in his return as Bucks coach. If anything, I’m surprised they weren’t even louder.
By the way, that was a nice touch by the Nets to show Kidd’s picture on the scoreboard and pause after introducing him. Make sure everyone knows whom they’re booing and has an opportunity to do so.
Kidd got the last laugh, though. After missing a wide-open potential game-winning layup in overtime, Brandon Knight made the game-tying 3-pointer in double-overtime, and the Bucks won in the third overtime.
