It’s been a rough start to the season for the Hornets’ Michael Kidd-Gilchrist.
After suffering a hard fall against the Knicks that caused him to miss two games with bruised ribs, the latest setback is a foot injury that will keep him out at least the same amount of time.
From the official release:
Charlotte Hornets forward Michael Kidd-Gilchrist has been diagnosed with a stress reaction in his right foot. Kidd-Gilchrist, who underwent a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) yesterday, will miss the remaining two games on the team’s road trip. He will be re-evaluated in Charlotte and a recovery timeline will be determined at that time.
Kidd-Gilchrist has been a key member of the rotation when healthy, and has averaged 9.8 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 23.3 minutes per contest. He’s started in all six of his appearances this season.
