Midway through the fourth quarter of Milwaukee’s Friday night win over the Sixers, Larry Sanders lined up for a jump ball against Malcolm Thomas.
The Bucks controlled it, and Sanders ended up with the ball. But he appeared to be momentarily confused, because he immediately took it in for what would have been an uncontested layup on his own team’s basket.
Thankfully, he came to his senses just in time to avoid an even more embarrassing event from taking place.
