The Cavaliers obviously have a completely new look to the roster after adding LeBron James and Kevin Love in free agency, and it appears as though the team wants its home court design to provide a similarly special backdrop for viewing what should be a series of memorable moments.
The previous version was fine if uninspiring, and while I disagree with many of Zach Lowe’s rankings of the courts of all 30 teams he did for Grantland, it’s worth noting that the well-respected NBA analyst (and mascot aficionado) placed the Cavaliers dead last.
This new edition would likely rank somewhat higher, both for the use of blue around the border and for the skyline silhouette that would decorate the near sideline.
So that Cavs’ floor video? Here’s the rumored design, complete with badass CLE skyline. pic.twitter.com/gB28lQUheO
