Report: Mike Miller agrees to two-year deal to play in Cleveland next to LeBron

It’s one thing to recruit players to the warm weather Miami with all it’s attractions, but would players take less money to follow LeBron James to Cleveland?

In the case of Mike Miller, yes.

Miller reached terms on a two-year, $5.5 million deal with the Cavaliers, first reported by Chris Broussard of ESPN (and since confirmed by other reports).

Miller shot 45 percent from three last season and plays good defense. The gamble is will he stay healthy — he played in all 82 games last season but hadn’t played in more than 59 the previous four years and seemed to be aging before our eyes. He will be 34 at the start of next season.

This is a good signing, a good thing for the depth in Cleveland. It gives them real shooting and versatility off the bench, and it gives them another needed veteran with a ring on a young team that will be learning what it takes to win.

The question is how many other veterans will do what Miller did?
