Lights go out in Game 2 of Thunder-Clippers

What is this, the Super Bowl?

Late in the second quarter of last night’s Thunder-Clippers game, some lights went out in Oklahoma City. The officials spent several minutes waiting for the issue to be fixed before re-starting the game in the dimly lit arena.

It probably wasn’t fair to make the Clippers play their final possession in the relative darkness, but I think it would have taken Los Angeles even further out of rhythm to wait longer. Not that one possession would have mattered anyway.

The lights were fixed during halftime, and the NBA avoided an embarrassing delay, settling for only a minor one.
