Luis Scola seals Pacers’ win over Nets with inbound pass off the back of Paul Pierce (VIDEO)

The Pacers held on for a 97-96 victory over the Nets on Saturday, and used a crafty move by one of their veterans on the game’s final play to seal it.

Leading by one with 0.4 seconds remaining, Luis Scola left nothing to chance. Instead of attempting to inbound the ball to one of his teammates, he simply took advantage of the fact that Paul Pierce was defending the play with his back to the passer.

Scola passed the ball off of Pierce’s back, and calmly watched as it dribbled to the floor as time expired.

With just 0.4 seconds left, there was essentially no chance of anything game-changing occurring that far away from the Nets’ basket, no matter where Scola threw his pass. But it was an entertaining way for things to end nonetheless.
