Carmelo Anthony didn’t just drop a franchise record and a Madison Square Garden record 62 points on the Bobcats by shooting a high volume of low-percentage shots. In fact, it was very much the opposite.
Anthony finished 23-of-35 from the field, good for a shooting mark of 65.7 percent.
In addition to the half-court shot he got to go to end the second quarter, there were a series of smooth jumpers that hit nothing but net, and even some drives to the basket that ended with slam dunks.
Watch Carmelo hit all 23 of those buckets in the video clip above.
As an aside, let’s hope you weren’t a season ticket holder who gave away your seats to last night’s game. I’m sure there were plenty, considering New York is in the midst of an eight-game homestand, playing poorly, and it was a Friday night against the Bobcats. That would have been … unfortunate.
