Rockets’ Chandler Parsons receives warning for flopping vs. Pelicans (VIDEO)

Chandler Parsons of the Rockets became the latest player to receive a warning for violating the league’s anti-flopping rules on Thursday, and the offense was more than deserving of the extremely benign punishment.

The offending play took place in the fourth quarter against the Pelicans, and saw Parsons intentionally flail himself beyond half court after coming into contact with Eric Gordon.

The league has taken the lighter approach of shaming players in the hopes that the behavior will change over time. But as we mention just about every time one of these warnings or small fines are issued, no real change is likely to happen unless the penalties for this low-level type of cheating are far more severe.
