Bradley Beal back in full workouts with Wizards teammates

The stress injury to Bradley Beal’s right fibula — the one that ended his rookie season early and kept him out of Summer League even though he was supposed to be cleared long before then — is apparently healed.

Beal is back working out with teammates at the Wizards facilities, reports J. Michael at CSNWashington.com. He is working out with Garrett Temple and Kevin Seraphin.

This is good news for Wizards fans.

Beal showed promise as the shooting guard to be paired with John Wall in a young backcourt — he averaged 13.9 points a game and shot 38.6 percent as a rookie last season. Which is why when the stress injury came (it was not a fracture) the Wizards trainers were very cautious about letting him return. They could have pushed for Summer League but decided to play it safe.

If the Wizards can keep Beal, Wall (who missed 33 games with a knee injury last season) and Nene healthy they should be a playoff team in the East. That’s a big if, but this is still potentially one of the surprise NBA teams in the East this season.
