Chicago might have its eyes on adding Quentin Richardson

Right now, with the way the Bulls are positioned under a hard salary cap (imposed because of how they added players this summer), they can’t add anybody. But things loosen just a little bit in November and the Bulls can add a veteran at the minimum for a little depth.

Someone like Quentin Richardson, reports our man Aggrey Sam at CSNChicago.com.

… the one other early-season transaction the Bulls are monitoring is acquiring a minimum-salary contract when they have the cap space to add a 14th player next month. Veteran wings such as recently-waived Quentin Richardson, a Chicago native, are among those under consideration, a league source told CSNChicago.com, but the Bulls also have the option of waiting until later in the season and signing two players if an addition doesn’t seem necessary early on in the campaign.

Richardson was one of the guaranteed contracts cut by the Magic right before the season started. And you can bet the veteran swingman is on more than just the Bulls radar as a solid, inexpensive veteran out there on the market.

Just some something to keep your eyes on.
