Reports: Blazers trade Andre Miller to Nuggets for Raymond Felton

As the draft day deals continue, here’s one that would appear to benefit both teams.

The Denver Nuggets and Portland Trail Blazers have agreed to swap point guards, with Raymond Felton going to Portland and Andre Miller heading to Denver in return, according to multiple reports. The teams also swapped first round picks, the No. 21 and No. 22 picks overall, according to The Oregonian.

The Blazers get younger with Felton, which was a priority for them heading into the offseason. Miller, meanwhile, played well in his two seasons with Portland, and is just as capable as Felton, but is a better distributor and a better defender at this stage of his career.

If for some reason Miller doesn’t work out in Denver, the Nuggets aren’t exactly tied to him long-term: his contract has a team option for the upcoming season for just under $8 million that Denver will need to pick up before June 30.
