Right before his Miami Heat team sleepwalked through a large chunk of the game and still easily handed the Cavaliers their 21st straight loss, LeBron James had nothing but kind words to say about the Cavs organization and their fans.
Which you can be sure sat real well with guys sitting around bars in Cleveland.
“It didn’t matter for me if the Cavs were going to have a successful season or not,” James said. “I felt like I was making the right choice for me as an individual and for my career. Like I said, I have nothing bad to say about the players that I left and the team. I wish the organization the best. And I wish the fans, more than anything, the best because we had a lot of great years together.”
Gee, thanks for that now. He may mean well, but when LeBron and company return to Cleveland March 29 fans there will probably send him a different message.
That’s assuming the Cavs have any players left standing by then. They’re just an injury or two away from Byron Scott having to suit up again.
