Minnesota has struggled on the court this season so they have offered a deal — all of their March game tickets in the 2010-11 season will be half off. (Just so w are clear, that is next season, you still have to pay full price to see this year’s T-Wolves, losers of six straight.)
The Wolves took out a full-page ad in the newspaper (you remember those, right?) and David Kahn, president of basketball operations for the franchise, wrote a letter to fans saying the same thing.
It’s a nice gesture — Minnesota in a rebuilding process in the middle of a recession. This may not be a grand gesture to fans, but it is an acknowledgement. That is more than you get from most struggling franchises.
