Because we can’t seem to get enough of all things Blake Griffin….
NBA TV is about to air a new show “24 Hours with Blake Griffin” starting Friday (the premiere is Friday, 6 p.m. Eastern). The show follows Griffin as he is the rock star of All-Star Weekend, doing the Rookie Challenge, the Slam Dunk Contest and the All-Star Game itself. There are all sorts of other players fawning over Griffin.
And, there is footage of him in the dunk contest rehearsal. Not in this clip though, you’ll have to watch the show for that.
The best highlight of All-Star weekend happened Friday night.
You think maybe we should watch the All-Star Game and the Dunk Contest before we render judgement? Wrong. We should just watch the video below and realize it is over.
During Friday night’s Rookie Challenge, John Wall makes a bounce pass from behind the three-point arc to a leaping Blake Griffin who finishes if off with the slam. Sure there will be other highlights this weekend, bot do you think there is going to be anything better?
Tyreke Evans has been battling plantar fasciitis — a foot condition where if feels like someone is ramming a knife into your heel with every step, something that tends to hamper you hoop game — all season long. He missed the Kings game Wednesday because the only real cure for this is rest.
Along those lines, Evans is going to skip the All-Star Rookie Challenge Friday night to rest his foot more.
In his place, James Harden will suit up for the West, bringing a little old man game to the young bucks showcase.
The All-Star Rookie Challenge starts at 9 p.m. Eastern and you can catch it on TNT.
