The Brooklyn Nets are bolstering their front line. After signing forward Quincy Acy to multiple 10-day contracts earlier this month, the team will ink the former Dallas Mavericks and Sacramento Kings veteran to a 2-year deal.
That’s according to Yahoo! Sports, who say the Nets were pleased with Acy’s performance over his shorter contracts.
Acy, 26, can be a valuable rebounder and 3-point shooter for Brooklyn this season. The Nets can take all the help they can get, as they are a bottom 5 team in terms of both offensive and defensive efficiency.
Although Acy has played limited minutes for Brooklyn this season, when allowed more minutes to operate he’s shown he can rebound and be an effective scorer, totaling field goal percentages of 50% or higher in seven games for the Nets.
