On Saturday night, Derrick Rose took the floor for pregame warm-ups wearing a shirt that read, “I Can’t Breathe.” The statement made waves around the league, a show of solidarity for the late Eric Garner, who was choked to death by a New York City police officer recently.
The following day, LeBron James praised Rose’s shirt and hinted that he would wear one before the Cleveland Cavaliers’ game on Monday against the Brooklyn Nets. Indeed, he followed through on that promise:

Nets players Kevin Garnett, Deron Williams, Jarrett Jack and Alan Anderson also wore the shirt. These are issues that these players feel very strongly about and it’s likely that this isn’t the last time we see a high-profile player say something.
