We brought you the news of the mascot for the Toronto Raptors suffering what was thought to be a season-ending injury back in October, and it’s only right that we provide a follow-up to this extremely important story to maintain our reputation as dogged NBA reporters.

The Raptor made his triumphant return sooner than expected, and was welcomed back to action by both fans and other members of the team’s mascot crew alike.

The Bryan Adams tune playing near the end of the clip? That was merely the icing on the cake.

Chris Paul is 31 years old, but he’s still the Point God. The Los Angeles Clippers star still has handles, too, and New Orleans Pelicans big man Alexis Ajinca found that out the hard way on Saturday night.

With the ball in the middle of the floor and Ajinca guarding Paul on a mismatch after a screen, the Clippers guard went straight at the rim.

Paul gave a little stutter step, and Ajinca got a little too happy with his feet.

The result? Tangled legs for Ajinca, an easy 8-foot basket for Paul, and a damaged sense of pride for the New Orleans center.

Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James didn’t agree with a foul he committed against Charlotte Hornets forward Frank Kaminsky on Saturday night, so he summoned up the Ghost of Rasheed Wallace when it came time for Kaminsky to shoot free throws.

Yes, he broke out the ol’ Ball Don’t Lie bit. He even did it in the style of Sheed, yelling it so loud that the parabolic microphones set courtside could pick it up and be heard on television.
