The Heat eliminated the Bulls from the playoffs in Game 5 not only because they’re by far the better (and healthier) team, but also because they can get random big plays from just about anyone on the roster.
This drive and dunk from Norris Cole that he threw down midway through the fourth quarter was just the latest example.
On a team with as many stars as Miami has, including the game’s best player in LeBron James, it might be difficult for the lesser players to know when (and sometimes, if) it’s OK for them to be personally aggressive. Cole had no problem doing that in this one, taking the ball right down the lane for the monster jam with his team trailing by one at the time.
Hezonja throws down one-handed dunk in preseason debut
Between Hezonja, Elfrid Payton, Victor Oladipo and Aaron Gordon, the Magic have a nucleus of young players that has the potential to be a lot of fun. Even if they’re still a few years away from contending, they’re definitely going to be a League Pass favorite this year.
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist suffers dislocated shoulder in preseason game

In the game between the Hornets and Magic on Saturday night, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist was taken to the locker room after suffering a right shoulder injury. The Hornets announced that he was then taken to an Orlando-area hospital for follow-up x-rays:
