That Blake Griffin missed a three isn’t really news — he’s 2-of-11 from there this season and most of those shots, like the one above, come late in the clock when he doesn’t have the time to get a better one.
But when you are All-Star Blake Griffin and you hit the side of the backboard with your shot, you’re going to hear it. The Warriors bench was having some fun with the badly missed corner three and the Golden State crowd picked up on that and started in on Griffin. Just remember, the Warriors have the Clippers on the schedule again this weekend. There could be payback.
Griffin has struggled during the Clippers’ two losses, shooting 6-of-22.
The Cavs are shorthanded in the backcourt right now, with Kyrie Irving still out and Iman Shumpert sidelined for up to three months. Yahoo’s Marc Spears reports that they’re bringing in former Temple guard Dionte Christmas, who played for the Suns in 2013-14:
The Cavaliers are signing free agent shooting guard Dionte Christmas, a source told Yahoo Sports.
In 31 games for the Suns two seasons ago, Christmas averaged 2.3 points and 1.2 rebounds in 6.4 minutes per game. He probably won’t get very many minutes if he makes the Cavs’ final roster, but there’s a chance they’ll keep him around on a non-guaranteed deal until Irving and Shumpert are healthy, just to have another body in the backcourt.
