Miami Heat v Chicago Bulls - Game Two

Report: Bulls shopping Korver to Hawks, Timberwolves

Nothing may come of it, but the Bulls seem to be testing the market for Kyle Korver.

That according to the Chicago Tribune.

A different source said the Bulls were exploring sign-and-trade possibilities that could send Kyle Korver to the Minnesota Timberwolves or Atlanta Hawks, although his return to the Bulls hasn’t been ruled out.

The decision to pick up Korver’s $5 million option for next season doesn’t have to be made until Sunday.

According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, the Hawks are pretty much out and Korver appears headed to the Timberwolves.

Korver still has value as a guy who can knock down the three, he shot 43.5 percent from distance last year. He also gave them 8.1 points and 22 solid minutes a game in the regular season, although his production dropped off in the playoffs.

You could see a role for Korver on both the Hawks and Timberwolves, but the real question is what the trade price would be. My guess is the Bulls pick up his option and he remains a Bull, but we will see.

Report: Cavs sign Dionte Christmas

The Cavs are shorthanded in the backcourt right now, with Kyrie Irving still out and Iman Shumpert sidelined for up to three months. Yahoo’s Marc Spears reports that they’re bringing in former Temple guard Dionte Christmas, who played for the Suns in 2013-14:

In 31 games for the Suns two seasons ago, Christmas averaged 2.3 points and 1.2 rebounds in 6.4 minutes per game. He probably won’t get very many minutes if he makes the Cavs’ final roster, but there’s a chance they’ll keep him around on a non-guaranteed deal until Irving and Shumpert are healthy, just to have another body in the backcourt.

LeBron James sat out the Cavs’ preseason game against the Sixers on Thursday night, but Cleveland still held the lead for all but the final 5.4 seconds. Then, Sixers rookie Scottie Wilbekin did this:

Wilbekin, who played college ball at Florida, has a chance to earn legitimate minutes for the Sixers this season as they try to find young talent on the cheap. This is a good start.
