Chicago Bulls' Derrick Rose celebrates after teammate Luol Deng was fouled while shooting by Los Angeles Lakers' Pau Gasol during the second half of an NBA basketball game in Los Angeles

Derrick Rose says he must assert himself early. Too.

Derrick Rose came into this season trying to pull a bit of a Kobe Bryant from recent years — feed the other guys early, get them going, then take over late.

Except, the result has been sluggish starts for the Bulls. (Kobe would be happy to commiserate.)

The Bulls had to come from 11 points down with less than four minutes to go against the Lakers, then fell behind Golden State early and never recovered.

So out with the new and in with the old — Rose is going to start being aggressive early. That’s what he told the Chicago Tribune.

“In the first quarter I have to establish myself a little more,” Rose said. “I see that being laid-back is just not doing it. I think both games in the first quarter I shot the ball just one or two times. So next game, I have to change it up…

“I have to push the ball, get to the rim, be more aggressive,” Rose said. “We tend to slow the ball down a little bit, getting a feel for how we’re playing. I really haven’t caught on to it yet.”

Rose is 1-for-4 shooting with four free throws in the first quarter of the last two games. Combined.

The Sacramento Kings Thursday and Los Angeles Clippers Friday should be ready for something completely different.

Welcome to America, Fenerbahce Ulker.

The Turkish powerhouse was in America playing some exhibition games this preseason, and they got a first-hand reminder that Kevin Durant is back. KD had 13 points in the Thunder’s easy 111-81 win.

Not to be outdone, Russell Westbrook got in on the act.

Bradley Beal drives around, dunks over Kristaps Porzingis (VIDEO)

If you’re a Knicks fan, the positive is that at least Kristaps Porzingis tried to make a play.

But he was not going to stop the athletic Bradley Beal with a full head of steam, and the result was a Beal dunking over Porzingis as he tries to block the attempt.

Beal wasn’t sharp, scoring 12 points on 5-of-14 shooting. The Knicks has an efficient Carmelo Anthony and that got them the win.
