Who wants Corey Brewer? Eh? Eh?

Corey Brewer is available! Come on down!

Anyone? Anyone?

Assets they likely are willing to trade include two of their point guards, two extra first-round picks they possess and swingman Corey Brewer.

The Wolves are shopping for an upgrade at two-guard, and Corey Brewer is available. Brewer’s not a bad player. He’s a serviceable starter, and who knows how he could do were he not drafted by the Timberwolves. The Wolves are committed not to get older, which means they’ll be aiming for a  player of relative age or younger, which will be difficult. They’re aiming for O.J. Mayo, who the Grizzlies have very publicly said is not available and everyone who talks to people in Memphis in a non-public manner says is available.

Brewer’s points, assists, and FG% are all down, and weren’t that great to start with. Brewer won’t fetch a great price on the open market, but if they can throw in a first round pick and possibly get in on a multi-team deal, the Wolves may be able to get what they want out of the deal.

I mean, they’ll still be the Timberwolves, but it’s a step.

Somebody is in midseason form.

Stephen Curry put up 30 on Portland in a preseason game Thursday night, hitting six threes and getting to the line 15 times over the course of his less than 26 minutes. It was quite a show.

Portland won the game 118-101 behind 25 points from Allen Crabbe and 22 from Damian Lillard. Not a lot of defense in this one but it was fun to watch.

Anthony Bennett moves around, dunks on Lakers’ Upshaw (VIDEO)

If you believe there is a difference between being dunked on and being dunked around, this definitely falls in the latter category.

Still, it’s an impressive move by Toronto’s Anthony Bennett to make the move and dunk around Lakers’ big man Robert Upshaw during the Raptors’ 105-97 preseason win over the Lakers Thursday night.

Bennett only had four points, but Kyle Lowry had another impressive preseason outing with 25. He has looked sharp. Julius Randle had 17 for the Lakers on 7-of-10 shooting.
